ABOUT YOGA
Ease yoga classes are Hatha-based, with a strong background in Ashtanga and Prana Vashya. The practices are designed to strengthen, tone and increase mobility in the body, and clear and relax the mind. We recognize that everyone comes to yoga with different levels of experience. We put a lot of effort into ensuring that all body types are given what they need in order to grow into what they can be.
When taking on the practice of yoga, it is highly recommended to learn and understand the eight limbs of yoga:
YAMA – Restraints, moral disciplines or moral vows
NIYAMA – Positive duties or observances
ASANA – Posture
PRANAYAMA – Breathing techniques
PRATYAHARA – Sense withdrawal
DHARANA – Focused concentration
DHYANA – Meditative absorption
SAMADHI – Bliss or enlightenment
